Terms of Agreement – Konan Gym

Personal Membership
Membership is personal, and access rights apply only to the registered member. You must always be able to prove your membership when entering the gym or during inspections. Each member is responsible for the proper use of their access rights. If someone else uses your access or you bring in individuals who do not have access rights, your membership will be terminated immediately without compensation. Misuse results in a contractual penalty of €100 per visit. Camera surveillance operates 24/7.

Age Limit & Minors
The minimum age at Konan Gym is 15 years. Members under 18 must provide guardian contact details, and the guardian is responsible for the minor’s payments. Bringing children (under 15) or outsiders into the gym area is strictly prohibited.

Access to the Gym
Entry to the gym requires a mobile device and the use of the Konan Gym mobile application. For safety reasons, every visitor must log in using the mobile app when entering the lower and upper doors. The access tag must be shown to the reader.

Membership Fees & Automatic Renewal
The activation fee and the first payment of your selected billing interval are paid in the online store upon joining. Membership renews automatically, and payments are charged according to the chosen billing cycle. Membership begins on the date of purchase.
If payments are not made according to the terms, access will be suspended. Konan Gym has the right to transfer unpaid fees to a collection agency, and the member is responsible for any costs arising from the collection process. If you receive a reminder or collection letter, you must follow the payment instructions provided by the collection agency.

Membership can be cancelled at any time before the next renewal date through the Konan Gym App (Memberships / Contracts). If the membership is not cancelled in time, the next fee will be charged automatically.
(For 1-month recurring memberships, cancellation takes effect after the next full billing period.)
Prepaid fees and exercise benefit payments are non-refundable. Fixed-term agreements and single-visit passes cannot / do not need to be cancelled. After a fixed-term or recurring membership ends, a new activation fee will be charged for any new membership.

Use of Exercise Benefits
Membership can be paid with approved exercise benefits (Smartum, ePassi, Edenred). The first payment cannot be made using exercise benefits (requires recurring card billing). Exercise benefits may be transferred only during an active membership. Processing time for exercise balances is approximately 2 weeks, and the balance is applied to future payments.

Freezing & Transferring Membership
Membership cannot be frozen or transferred to another person. Unused membership time is not compensated.

Gym Etiquette
Members must follow all current gym rules and etiquette. Konan Gym may terminate the membership if the customer violates membership terms, safety regulations, or behaves inappropriately. Konan Gym also has the right to suspend or terminate the agreement if the member is found to be training under the influence of performance-enhancing substances, alcohol, or drugs.

Coaching Rights
Personal training is permitted only for PT coaches who have an agreement with Kuntomestarit Oy.

Member Responsibility
Members use the facilities at their own risk. Members must follow the equipment instructions and other guidance displayed at Konan Gym. Note that staff is not always present (24/7 camera surveillance).
Konan Gym is not responsible for personal injuries, property damage, or lost belongings. Members are responsible for their own insurance coverage. Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence to gym equipment or property must be fully compensated.

Personal Property
Konan Gym is not responsible for customers’ personal belongings. Storing valuables in lockers does not guarantee their safety.

Lockers
Lockers may be used only during your workout. Staff clears lockers regularly. Broken padlocks are not reimbursed.

Prices & Changes
Konan Gym reserves the right to update these membership terms, including prices, fees, rules, gym etiquette, and privacy practices. Current prices and terms can be found on the Konan Gym website.
If Konan Gym must close partially or completely due to maintenance, unprofitable business, bankruptcy, or government restrictions, Konan Gym is not obligated to refund any prepaid services or products.
By joining Konan Gym, you accept these terms.

Privacy
Membership information is collected in Konan Gym’s customer register for the purpose of managing the membership and providing important updates.

Updating Contact & Payment Information
Members must notify Konan Gym of any changes to their contact and payment information, such as name, email, or phone number.

Camera Surveillance
Konan Gym has continuous recording camera surveillance for access control and safety.

• Return all weights and equipment to their places after use.
• Throwing or dropping weights is prohibited.
• Train with proper technique—no slamming or jerking.
• Use Grippy Spray/Roll Grip instead of magnesium powder.
• Avoid phone conversations that disturb others.
• When resting, free the machine for others to use.
• Use a workout towel and a bottle with a cap.
• Outdoor shoes must be placed on the shoe rack.
• Training in socks, barefoot, or with outdoor shoes is prohibited.
• Train only with clean indoor shoes and appropriate clothing.
• Do not store shoes or clothing in the gym area.
• Lockers may be used only during your workout, with your own padlock.
• Dispose of snus, nicotine pouches, and chewing gum in the trash—even those used outside.
• Children and non-members are not allowed in the gym area (24/7 camera surveillance).
• Every visitor must have valid access (the mobile app works as your personal gym card).
• Misuse results in a €100 contractual penalty per visit (membership termination).
• Log in with the Konan Gym App when entering through both the lower and upper doors (show the access tag to the reader).
• Personal training may only be provided by PT coaches contracted with Kuntomestarit Oy.
