Terms of Agreement – Konan Gym

Personal Membership
Membership is personal, and access rights apply only to the registered member. You must always be able to prove your membership when entering the gym or during inspections. Each member is responsible for using their access properly. If someone else uses your access or you bring in people without access rights, your membership will be terminated immediately without compensation. Misuse results in a contractual penalty of €100 per visit. Camera surveillance 24/7.

Age Limit & Minors
The minimum age at Konan Gym is 15 years. Members under 18 must provide guardian contact details, and the guardian is responsible for all payments. Bringing children (under 15) or any outside persons into the gym area is strictly prohibited.

Access to the Gym
Entry requires a mobile device and the Konan Gym mobile app. For safety reasons, every visitor must log in through the app when entering both the lower and upper door. The access tag/key is shown to the reader.

Membership Fees & Subscription Renewal
The activation fee and the first payment for your chosen billing interval are paid online when joining. Membership renews automatically and is billed based on your selected interval. Membership starts from the purchase date. If payments are not made according to the terms, access will be suspended. Konan Gym may transfer unpaid fees to a collection agency, and the member will be responsible for collection costs. If you receive a payment reminder or collection letter, you must follow the payment instructions provided by the collection agency.

You may cancel your membership at any time before the next renewal date. Cancellation is managed through the Konan Gym App (Memberships / Contracts). If you do not cancel in time, the next fee will be charged automatically.
(For monthly recurring memberships, cancellation takes effect after the next full billing period.)
Prepaid fees and employee benefit payments are non-refundable. Fixed-term contracts and single passes cannot/do not need to be terminated. After a fixed-term or recurring contract ends, a new activation fee is charged when signing up for a new membership.

Use of Employee Benefit Payments
Membership can be paid with accepted exercise benefits (Smartum, ePassi, Edenred). The first payment cannot be made with exercise benefits (requires recurring card payment). Exercise credits may be added only during an active membership. Processing time is up to 2 weeks and the balance is applied to future payments.

Freezing & Transferring Membership
Membership cannot be frozen or transferred to another person. Unused membership time is not compensated.

Gym Etiquette
Members must follow all current rules and gym etiquette. Konan Gym may terminate a membership if the member violates the terms, safety rules, or behaves inappropriately. Konan Gym also has the right to suspend or end the membership if the member is training under the influence of performance-enhancing substances, alcohol, or drugs.

Coaching Rights
Personal training services may only be provided by PT coaches who have an agreement with Kuntomestarit Oy.

Member Responsibility
Members train at their own risk. Follow the instructions posted on equipment and around the gym. Note that the gym is not always staffed (24/7 camera surveillance). Konan Gym is not responsible for personal injuries, property damage, or lost belongings. Members are responsible for their own insurance coverage. Any damage caused intentionally or through negligence must be fully compensated.

Personal Belongings
Konan Gym is not responsible for personal items. Lockers do not guarantee the safety of valuables.

Lockers
Lockers may be used only during your workout. Staff clears lockers regularly. Broken padlocks are not reimbursed.

Prices & Changes
Konan Gym reserves the right to update membership terms, prices, fees, policies, gym etiquette, and data protection practices. Current prices and terms are available on the website. If the gym must close fully or partially due to maintenance, unprofitable business, bankruptcy, or government restrictions, Konan Gym is not obligated to refund prepaid services. By joining Konan Gym, you accept these terms.

Privacy
Membership data is collected in Konan Gym’s customer register for membership management and communication.

Updating Contact & Payment Information
Members must inform Konan Gym of any changes to their contact or payment details, such as name, email, or phone number.

Camera Surveillance
Konan Gym operates continuous recording camera surveillance for access control and safety.

Gym Rules for Everyone’s Comfort

• Re-rack weights and return equipment after use.
• Dropping or throwing weights is prohibited.
• Train with proper form—no jerking or reckless movements.
• Use Grippy Spray/Roll Grip instead of magnesium powder.
• Avoid loud phone conversations.
• Free the machine during your rest periods so others can use it.
• Use a towel and a bottle with a cap.
• Outdoor shoes in the shoe rack.
• No training in socks, barefoot, or with outdoor shoes.
• Wear clean indoor shoes and proper clothing.
• Do not store shoes or clothing in gym areas.
• Lockers are for workout use only, with your own padlock.
• Dispose of snus/nicotine pouches and gum — including those used outside — in the trash.
• No children/outsiders allowed in gym areas. (24/7 camera surveillance)
• Everyone must have valid access. (The app functions as your personal gym card.)
• Misuse results in a €100 penalty per visit (contract termination).
• Log in through the app when entering the lower and upper doors (show access tag to the reader).
• Only PTs contracted with Kuntomestarit Oy may provide coaching.
